I’ve always loved Solange; she’s such a free spirit.  It may seem like she’s trailing behind in her sisters larger than life shadow; her 100 million time platinum albums, and now with the recent birth of her daughter Blue Ivy Carter.  ( I’ll go in on the name another time).  Solange moves to the beat of a different drum if you ask me. Indie, pop, jazz, retro, soul sums her up pretty well.  I think her off beat style is what makes her such a viable model, besides be insanely beautiful.

Now signed to Next modelling agency I can’t wait to see what she pulls together for her official modelling body of work.  I think she’ll get some well deserved shine; she’s already modelled for Carol’s daughter, Rimmel London, and Dereon her big sis’ label.  Think she’ll make a good professional photo subject?  Here’s some pics of her past work, lover her as much as I do??

Model/singer Cassie, Solange and super model Selita Ebanks were recently selected as the newest faces of beauty brand Carol’s Daughter.  I stopped into Sephora yesterday actually looking for this line of products beause I have locks an need a line of reliable products to help nuture my tresses while I continue my natural hair journey.  I actually wasnt able to find it there because it’s only stocked in the US.

Jeremy Scott never one to stick to the trend, rather creating his own has a very distinct style.  Rihanna, Melody Thornton, Amber Rose and most recently Solange on an epidsode of Yo Gabba Gabba (see video here) have picked up the style despite how strong people may feel about Jeremy’s recent spring summer 2010 collection
