CELEB STYLE: Iman, Kimora Lee, Anika Noni, Rashida Jones + More!
So the second week of January has come to a close, theres been so much going on since Christmas right through to New Years, so many events, so many opportunities to sparkle and shine!
Iman stands radiant in her J.Mendel spring 2011 gown at the 2011 BET Honors in Washington on Jan 15. The fashion icon sends all the the other ladies to school as she struts her stuff in this show stopping dress making her hit the top spot in 2011 as B.D. of the month. Also at the Honors was Gabrielle Union in Rachel Roy, who was also in attendance,
Other fly ladies include Nicole Richie, Nicole Ari Parker, Anika Noni Rose and Ms. Kimora Lee who was paired with her hubby Djmon in a hot orange at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards Filmmaker Grant and Nominee Brunch (See after the jump)

Wear: A gorgeous nude one shoulder dress belted at the waist with a silver sash and accessorized with a coordinating metallic clutch…love this look. She makes fashion look so easy.
Rachel Roy Resort 2011
Rachel Roy revealed her resort 2011 collection, and being one of my favourite designers there was plenty for me to swoon over. She infused the look and feel of a city girl and the posh heiress on a hot summer night so very nicely. With inspiration from the Cuban avant-garde painter Amelia Peláez, She infuses masculine and feminine seamless; something she says many women struggle with today.
A common denominator as always with Rachel included bright vivid colors including a bright sea and navy blue. The bright red cropped leather jacket, and the playful graphic print dress above speak to me on a city slicking overdressed biker chic sort of way, while the wide legged orange trousers and fish scale pants would surely get me noticed around town for impeccable style that’s impossibly easy to achieve.
All of her looks were paired with black strappy sandals which may be considered too heavy for some, but fit the look and feel of these looks perfectly.

Met 2010 Costume Gala: Oprah/Gayle/Eva Mendes/ M.I.A./ Zoe Kravitz/Thandi Newton/Rachel Roy/Liyah Kebede
Oprah who co-hosted the Met’s 2010 Costume Gala this year along side Vogue’s Anna Wintour and Partick Robinson of Gap, really did look great in her navy blue Oscar de la Renta ruffle skirt gown, as she walked the red carpet with the designer himself. The curls of her hair coordinated very nicely with what was going on in her dress. The V-neck it a little deep for my tatse but it isn’t completely dreadful either…I’ll let it slide I have a bigger bone to pick in a minute.

Another week has come and gone, but as the sun sets and the moon rises the people, parties and fashion never stops. Michelle Obama, Kelly Rowland, Rachel Roy, Zoe Kravitz, Alek Wek, Fergie, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kim Kardashian, Gabourey Sidibe, and a whole slew of other hot Hollywood stars stepped out to make another telling fashion statement this week.

DKMS’ 4th Annual Gala: Solange Knowles/Rachel Roy/Halle Berry/Eva Mendes/Estelle
Solange Knowles, Rachel Roy, Halle Berry, Eva Mendes and Estelle all walked the red carpet at the DKMS 4th Annual Gala in a wide array of looks. Sporting her natural locks, Solange Knowles was star spangled in a multi coloured star patterned halter dress and black pumps. Very cute, and I’m just loving the confidence she oozes no matter what hair style she has.
My favourite look of the evening was Rachel Roy’s, who looked stunning in a very figure flattering black twill cocktail dress from her spring 2010 collection. A designer who looks this good in her own clothes is the ultimate endorsement! Not only was the dress on point, but the shoes were flawless.
