Nicki Minaj And The Roots To Launch The New TRYX Digital Camera
Promotions just seem to run out of Nicki Minaj’s tap doesn’t it? This time she teams up with Casio to bring us the new TRYX Digital Camera. Of course done in Nicki’s favourite hue; pink she attends the launch camera on hand strutting her stuff.
She later performed at the Best Buy Theatre with the Roots, in a fly Jeremy Scott Adidas jacket embellished with buttons and kaleidoscope leggings. Both her party and performance outfit were 90′s inspired, outlandish and bright. Mixing multiple colors and stomping in some gagaesque boots, she poses and takes snap shots with several Nicki Minaj “look-a-likes”.

Rocker Gwen Stefani and rapstress Nicki Minaj cover the latest issue of Elle’s May 2011 Music Issue. Gwen who is wearing Givenchy and Michael Kors, shed some light on her personal life, which always seems to be much of a mystery to me on her appearance, pregnancy and husband Gavin. Her look is modern and bold with her platinum mane swept straight back. Eye make up check, hair check, girl looks good!
Gwen on her appearance: “I mean, I’m very vain. That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love the visual.”
Gwen on Gavin: “The first time we ever kissed was right around Valentine’s Day — we were in New Orleans on tour. So, yeah, I always think about that because it’s unbelievable that we’ve been able to stay together. I feel so proud of us — it’s one of my biggest achievements.”
Also featured in the issue is Willow Smith in a spunky custom made outfit, Jennifer Hudson in Diane von Furstenberg, Nicki Minaj in a Knit mini dress designed by Mark Fast as well as Adele, Feist, Florence Welch, Aretha Franklin, Hillary Scott, Robyn, and Stevie Nicks.

What are we to make of Nicki Minaj’s split green pea and cauliflower hair do? She sported this look to the 2011 Green Auction where she also gave a surprise performance. Her look although out there was fitting for the occasion. She paired her look with a black leather jumpsuit, heels and a funky Alexander Wang hand piece (here), which isn’t even available for sale yet.

So far on the red carpet there have been a lot of dramatic ensembles. Nicki Minaj the queen of the wild went exactly in the direction we all know she would at an event as important as the Grammys. The hair reminds me of bride of Frankenstein, and the outfit sorta makes her look like a centaur/cheetah love child…epic fail.

Ciara…looks like a body building pageant model. That or a super hero. Unfortunately this Emilio Pucci just isn’t doing it for me. Don’t know what connection the top half of the outfit has with the bottom half.
High Drama
Monica looks amazing in a high front, open back gown with a train. Her look is elegant, with her cropped hair and perfect make-up.
