Ciara and Katy Perry in Chanel Canvas Lace up Booties
Chanel Canvas Lace up boots have found their way on to both these ladies feet this summer, first Ciara wore her white pair to the premiere of the Karate Kid earlier this month. Than quirky fantastical free spirit Katy Perry wore hers nautical inspired red striped pair next while in Toronto performing live on Much.
I prefer the white over the red, I would be able to get way more wear out that than the stripped ones, and for $795 I’m paying for as much wear as I can possibly squeeze out of them before I collapse.

Wear: In Dimepiece Designs, Katy’s body is ridiculous, like the pattern on the dress, I’m sure she does have to bat off some crazies once in a while.
Trend Watch: Candy Colored Hair
Bored with your hair color? These ladies certainly seem to be! I’ve noticed now that some of Hollywood’s more daring crowd has opted to shed their natural hued locks for shocking candy colors that one might commonly find in a bag of skittles. Nicki Minaj has gone through a long list of colors and styles one could only imagine how many different wigs she has in her arsenal. But now Katy Perry shows up to the MTV awards with bright blue, and Rihanna rocked Rio with fiery red. The red isn’t so outlandish but it’s obviously a shade that will never grow naturally from anyone’s head never mind hers.
Too daring? Over the top? Or are these ladies trend setters? What’s your take, think you’ll choose a color from the rainbow next time you hit up the salon?

The costume Gala brings out a lot of buzz worthy dresses, my favourite article of clothing to babble about, and there were oh so many dresses that made me babble.
Zoe Saldana, Joy Bryant, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Richie, Oprah, Naomi Campbell, Jessica Szohr, Gwen Stefani, Kerry Washington, Katy Perry, were all in attendance and all in their designer best. But who was the fairest of them all? A very pressing question indeed….
Katy Perry Pink Polka Dot Palooza
Katy Perry always has a way of standing out where ever she goes, and her stop to the 27th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards was no different. She stepped out in pink and grey dot patterned dress that is just as dazzling up close as it is from a distance.
Known to take things a little too far sometimes I truly adore this look. She paired it with a fresh face matching hot pink lipstick, and a hot pair of Jimmy Choo “Zap” ($2495) light up sandals. They have a plexi glass heel and light up every time you take a step. Love it!
Vanity Fair Oscar Party Best Dressed Short List
I couldn’t resist posting about the Vanity Fair Oscar Party festivities, how often do you get to critic so many dresses at one event? In the sea of dresses, some magnificent, others not so much, these are the 5 (not in any particular order) that put a twinkle in my eye.
Stacey Dash: Wearing a black strapless spider web embroidered dress by Nicole Miller, which makes my heart skip a beat. It reminds me of something I might see in a Tim Burton Movie I love it!
Gabrielle Union: Was as bright as the sun is this marigold fitted dress by Rachel Roy. The cut is flattering and I find this color bewitchingly beautiful. She accessorized with one of my favourite handbag designers Judith Leiber.
Katy Perry: Looked like a bond bomb shell in this hot little number by Zuhair Marad. Not your everyday horizontal stripe, the shape, cut and combination of tan and red are exquisite. This is my favourite look of the night and my favourite dress I’ve seen Katy in ever!
