At home watching the 83rd annual Academy Awards as we speak type, is one of the most exciting nights in Hollywood not only for the awards that will be given out to all the well deserving actresses and actors, but for the fashion of course!
Hosted by Anne Hathaway and partner in crime James Franco, I’m going to do my best to stay awake for the whole thing. For starters Anne look red hot in her Valentino Fall 2002 couture. Her approach to the evening was old Hollywood glam; her pale skin make this dress and her bold lips pop right off the screen…classic beauty.
4th Annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon
Jennifer Hudson, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Kimora Lee and a host of other black beauties attended the 4th Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon in Beverly Hills yesterday which honored “Simply the Best” Black actresses. Pastels and spring like colors lined the beige carpet, the fierce is coming out for the coming season, flip it to see what the other ladies wore.
Loving the color combinations here; Jennifer’s soft purple with taupe pumps and nails, Garcelle’s bright blue pumps and Kimora’s peach approach with teal nails.
Beauty: Grammy Award Winning Hair
Esperenza who took home an unexpected win, at the Grammy’s for Best New Artist wore an interesting hair style to the star studded event. In fact many of the songstresses rocked natural locks, in variety of styles. Get hair style inspiration by the Grammy red carpet event here from style the Rihanna, Jada Pinkette, Solange Knowles and many other wore during the festivities.

So far on the red carpet there have been a lot of dramatic ensembles. Nicki Minaj the queen of the wild went exactly in the direction we all know she would at an event as important as the Grammys. The hair reminds me of bride of Frankenstein, and the outfit sorta makes her look like a centaur/cheetah love child…epic fail.
WWE Champion
Ciara…looks like a body building pageant model. That or a super hero. Unfortunately this Emilio Pucci just isn’t doing it for me. Don’t know what connection the top half of the outfit has with the bottom half.
High Drama
Monica looks amazing in a high front, open back gown with a train. Her look is elegant, with her cropped hair and perfect make-up.

Jennifer Hudson looks like a totally brand new person on the cover of American Airline Magazine American Way for the February black history month issue. In it she shares her thoughts on her upcoming role “Winnie” as Nelson Mandela’s wife, as well as her buddingi musical career.
She’s been through so much over the past few years but clearly has incredible strength….look where she is now!
