Looks We All Love From J.Crew

I’ve seen the light, and don’t ever plan on going back!  Bright colors continues to go strong into the fall season, I for one am all for it seeing as most of my life I’ve spent locked up in black and white.  I’m all for minimalism but with collections like this “Looks We Love” for J.Crews Fall launch I’ve learned minimalism doesn’t mean black and white.

Liu Wen and Jacquelyn Jablonski demonstrate how to marry both minimalism and color blocking into one happy family.  All the pretty colors makes you want to jump up and sing just  a little bit doesn’t it?

The fast approaching fall season is both saddening and exciting for me; summer will soon be but a memory and It’ll mean school is about to start. (O yeah I haven’t mentioned that till now) Yes This september I’m headed back to the big house to further expand my noggin with useful tidbits of information.  This also means more outfit posts to share..Yay!

Crushing on the first two looks above and the third one with the beige trench directly below.  I still need to pick up a colorful pair of pants.  Put that on the to do list.  [images via]

Lookbook: J.Crew Fall 2011

Built on exaggerated silhouettes, long full skirts, cuffed trousers and loud outspoken accessories, J.Crew definitely has put a new face to fall fashion.

Trend Watch: Hurray For Chambray!

Ever wonder what that really thin denim like material that seemed to rock the 80′s and 90′s?  Well it’s called Chambray and it’s making a comeback in a very large way.  Seen on the runways of Matthew Williamson, Gucci, and J.Crew chambray a lightweight fabric most commonly made from cotton, is a great alternative to heavy denim.

J.Crew Will Convert You: Spring 2010 Lookbook

I’ve personally never shopped from J. Crew but with a look book this enticing I could be persuaded to try.  J. Crew’s Spring 2010 collection hits all the right notes this season covering everything from pastels, short with funky waists, cool knits to sequined dress and bringing hats back to the fore front of wardrobes as the loyal but forgotten accessory.  I’d call it prep, with a twist of urban flare.

Right now I’m crushing on the grey rain boots above, and pretty pink floral dress below.  The white crisp blazer adds structure without overpowering such a beautiful print.
