Gabrielle Union alongside Chaka Zulu helped Ludacris host his annual Shopping fundraiser benefiting the Ludacris foundation last night in his home town Atlanta.

Gabby looked good in her simple yet elegant one shoulder dress, but the elegance stopped at the shoes.  The shoes are too heavy and weigh down the whole look.  I would have much preferred to see her in some skinny strapped sandals like the Jimmy choo Quinta mirrored-leather sandals, for a more delicate approach.

They’re much lighter and go with the color of her dress, and skinny straps are more appropriate than the thick platforms which look like they would be better suited for day.   Which would you wear my pick or Gabby’s?

The 41st NAACP Image Awards were last week, and I’ve finally gotten around to posting about the style winners on the red carpet!  I didn’t actually get a chance to watch the awards; I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off lately! I would have liked to see how all the dresses moved and behaved, but based on the pictures here’s who made the cut: 

Keke Palmer in this gorgeous yellow BCBG Max Azria gown, which earns her the best, dressed of the evening.  She’s glowing from head to toe, and growing into an amazingly talented and stunning young woman.  Top marks! 

Keri Hilson looks like she dropped 5 pounds just for this event in a body hugging black Rami Kashou ruffle skirted dress.  Love the visual effect and enhancement of Keri’s long lean legs, her hair is on point, and absent of the peroxide which we’re use to seeing.  No jewellery required in a dress like this you are the jewels!

Fergie arrives on the red carpet at the Recording Academy and Clive Davis 52^ndAnnual Pre Grammy Gala.  The event was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills California, on January 30th.  She rocked a silver jewel, embroidered mini dress from the Zuhair Murad spring 2010 collection and matching sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti.  She’s still on the hot tamale train!

Gabrielle Union was also there looking fearsome in a tight black strapless mini dress, tights and heels.  Havn’t seen her on the scene in a minute.  This outfit is a lot different then her usual girly style. I think everyone is trying to be edgy right now, but she’s so gorgeous I don’t feel it’s necessary.  You look great all the same Gabby! Check the rest of the pics out after the jump.

Mya hits the red carpet for the 3rd Annual BET Honors awards, over the weekend.  She looks gorgeous in this long fire engine red floor length gown. She’s accessorized with lots of diamonds and pulled up her hair into a flattering bun.  Mya has never looked better since her reemergence on dancing with the stars.

Two popular trends this year; neutral nudes and sequins.   Gabrielle Union has combined the two in perfect measure in this glamorous gown.  The dress is all the jewelry this outfit needs, and to let it shine as brightly as I know it can she’s opted for minimal accessories.  She sports a high wavy pompadour thats sleek and sexy. Gabriell Union attended the Hennessy Black Orlando Launch Party at Rain Lounge in Orlando Florida wearing this cute outfit, my favorite part is the shoes, lots of straps have a way of making your feet look very sexy.  She gets Royally Dressed winner today because the outfit is very simple there isn’t too much going on, and just enough going on in the right places.  She makes it pop with an over sized yellow clutch and matching skinny belt. She also wins because she just so naturally beautiful and wears minimal makeup.
