Ciara and Katy Perry in Chanel Canvas Lace up Booties
Chanel Canvas Lace up boots have found their way on to both these ladies feet this summer, first Ciara wore her white pair to the premiere of the Karate Kid earlier this month. Than quirky fantastical free spirit Katy Perry wore hers nautical inspired red striped pair next while in Toronto performing live on Much.
I prefer the white over the red, I would be able to get way more wear out that than the stripped ones, and for $795 I’m paying for as much wear as I can possibly squeeze out of them before I collapse.

Angela Simmons In Blue Fendi Lucite Sandals
Angela Simmons stepped out to the SESAC Music Awards, where her Uncle Russell Simmons and new girlfriend model Heidi Allende also attended, wearing a very fly pair of Fendi Lucite Sandals. I searched but they are sold out almost everywhere, these are one of the hottest spring 2010 designer shoes so I’m not surprised. They retail for about $1195, and Angela’s pair is even rarer in a pastel blue color. They were also worn by “The City” star Whitney Port for a photo shoot.
I love the blue, right in line with pastel shades this season, and a great alternative to add some color without committing one way or another to something too loud.
She paired her look with a classic red over sized Chanel Quilted chain hand bag, which adds a great touch for a look that was obviously intended to be young and fun.
Not sure I love the dress, it’s cute but in a16 year old kind of way…

Runway: Chanel Cruise 2011
Oh Saint Tropez, France is full of so much beauty, and of course Fashion is right at the center of it. Yesterday in Saint Tropez Karl Lagerfeld unveiled another masterfully crafted body of work for the Chanel Cruise 2011 collection. Each piece reminds me blissfully of all the vacation spots I’d love to venture to come summer, those lace of sandals are SEXY, I can’t seem to peel my eyes off them…wait give me a second….I’m back.
Sequins, fringes, mesh netting and peek-a-boo styling all the perfect ingredients in combination with hot weather, Prada sunnies a lounge chair and lemonade spell heavenly bliss.
Style beast Leah Lezark lined the riveria with a bunch of other noted A-listers to take in the show. Love her dress, even in the hot weather an LBD will steal the show.

Editorial: Ethnic Voyage Vogue Korea May 2010
I always seem to find the most amazing images between the covers a Vogue Magazine. It never really seems to matter whether which version; Vogue Us, Korea, Spain, I’m always excited to find at least one image that makes me just sit and stare. This entire spread in the Vogue Korea May 2010 issue shot by Hong Lu, of model Lee Hye Jung had me dissecting each outfit carefully trying to spot items I was familiar with.
Entitled Ethnic Voyage I did feel like I was on one; a voyage from her feet in those to die for Fendi platforms, Jimmy Choo light up heels, Chanel clogs, Miu Miu Mary Jane’s to that Jeremy Scott for Adidas Jacket that I’ve been swooning over for quite some time now. The styling here is ridiculous, and the Asian temple in the background makes me wish I was in my dream spot; Japan.
I wish I had the balls to put on an outfit like one of these however impractical it might be, just 1 day wouldn’t kill me right?
Well it wouldn’t kill me to try one of those leggings, damn they’re beautiful. My favourite pair would have to be the striped black and gold pair, even though the tie dye one might be a little more forgiving of some unsightly lumps and bumps!
Are theses not beautiful! Hope you enjoy them as much as me! Happy Tuesday! 10 More pics after the jump.

To Fur Or Not To Fur, That Is The Question
Choosing a side for or against furs is laden with personal ethical systems, social standards and the divine quest for “luxury”. Designers such as Chanel (above although faux), Gimbattista Valli, Chloé, Jeal Paul Gauliter just to name a few showcased their love for fur at the Fall 2010 fashion presentations. In essence they gave an up yours to the people behind PETA, the biggest advocate for the movement to stop the use of fur in fashion.
The EFBA and China produce the most fur on their respective fur farms, providing everything from mink, chinchilla, fitches, foxes and even raccoons. Their statistics state that well over 120,000 jobs are created each year and over 1.5 billion Euros are put into the economy. The killing is said to be human and painless with no part of the animal being wasted; the bodies of these animals are used for things such as diesel fuel. But does this justify the existence of this trade. Is it right to wear the skin of a living being? Does the thought of wearing fur intrigue or disgust you?
I myself have owned both real and faux furs, the difference between the two is obvious, nothing compares to the look and feel of the real thing. But I ask myself if it’s really important? What does wearing real fur really prove? It’s clear that real fur comes with a status label which has many people seeking to divide and elevate themselves from the rest. But are they really elevating themselves or lowering their ethics? Am I and how I look more important than the life of another living being? Ultimately no I don’t think so, and I’ve made a conscious decision not to wear fur, real fur anyways. I still love the luxurious look and feel it has, but today the faux furs are getting better and better and I’m going to give them a try, it won’t kill me or anyone else for that matter.
How do you feel about fur; real vs fake? I hold no judgement against anyone I mean to each his own, but what are your true feelings on this issue? Let me know what you guys think.
