In no particular order these 7 ladies pulled it out for me this week; Alicia Keys bronzed skin glows in her feather trained black Givenchy Haute Couture gown by Riccardo Tisci, worn to the Keep a Child Alive black ball.  She hosts this event every year, and this year went for edge by belting her look with a spiked belt.  Love it or hate it?

Kim Kardashian’s looks often resemble each other, but this dress caught my attention with its nude color and black laser cut details, very sexy.  Nicole Scherzinger sizzled in hot pink, haven’t noticed her on the scene much lately till she wore this number to the premiere of Cars 2 with husband Louis Hamilton by her side.

 

Katie Holmes and La La Vasquez must of read my post on Rompers, because both ladies hit the streets in their own takes on the look.  Katie in her navy jumpsuit is beyond cute, with the wide leg styling she makes this look seem completely fool proof a great look for day. Lala who has a curvier body opts for a strapless patterned suit belted at the waist she wore to celebrate her birthday in Las Vegas with hubby Carmelo Anthony.

In keeping with the wide leg styling which I think I need to ditch my skinny jeans for, Solange Knowles pairs an emerald green pair with a cute slashed shoulder white top.  Her Afro puts her retro look over the top, definitely not for the insecure.  I love that’s she’s such a free spirit and does not shy away from attention grabbing looks.

Alicia Keys was once known for heavy make up and scarred skin, but on the June 2011 cover of Essence thanks to a serious skin care regimen or the magic of photo shop, Alicia looks radiant.  Her tenth anniversary deluxe and collector’s editions of her first album, Songs in A Minor, this month will also be released this month.

Alicia Keys is radiant with her fresh faced approache the her evening as she stopped by 106th and park to promote her latest venture with the Keep a Child Alive foundation; “Buy Life” and at the Screening Of “Biutiful” at the Lighthouse Theater  in New York. (Check out the ad campaign which features Alicia in a coffin here.)

I just love this look, I get up and have days where I don’t feel like looking completely done up, but I still want to look polished and put together.    Alicia has demonstrated my desire to look fly and fresh perfectly.

The key to this look are very neatly done brows, and nearly pore less skin.  The best way in my opinion to achieve this look is with a mineral foundation, they penetrate beneath the surface .

Braid across the board have been very popular this summer, there’s just so many ways to rock one, more ways than I could ever imagine.  And it’s more than just the sisters wearing braids, everyone is killing the look, and with the summer heat and humidity it’s a great way to stay cool, a task that can clash dangerously with ones style. Jada wore a super neat braid across the front of her head, and a neat braided bun in back, which makes for a very polished look.

Alicia Keys attended the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball as she does annually, and is she ever glowing in her Dolce and Gabbanna ruffled gown!  The perfect way to not only attend this prestigious event but to announce her engagement to Swiss Beatz but confirm her pregnancy!  Congrats to the both of them!

The Christian Loubouttins she’s got on her feet are a whole other story…let me just pick my jaw up off the floor…
