Red Hot Red Carpet Oscar 2012
Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford & Cameron Diaz in Gucci
Oscar 2012 on the red carpet was a battle for the top spot as true queen after queen lit the night on fire. Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford was my absolute favourite look of the evening. Dressed in white with an armful of crystal, she’s oozes modern sophistication. Other red carpet highlights come from Angelina Jolie who seems to have sparked waves over the net with her come hither revealing stance…she’s Angelina Jolie, I expected as much; whats the Oscars without Angelina striking a sexy pose with sexy Brad by her side?
White washed hues colored the night, a trend that I’m definitely following. Next event I hit up will definitely be an all white affair. Other stunners include Rooney Mara, Jennifer Lopez, Viola Davis and Emma Stone plus more after the jump.

It’s a Celebration
Hey ladies!
How was your weekend? Mine was amazing! I spent it with all the people I love most having a good time eating good food and dancing like a fool all night in downtown Toronto. I ended up wearing my marigold sweater from forever (posted here). However I had no access to an SLR, my cell phone died and I left my digital camera at the hotel…bad blogger! But I did manage to piece together the night through a mixture of sources.
Dinner was at Terroni, a southern Italian restaurant on Adelaide street. Don’t ask me how but my GPS on my BB failed me…again…got lost and had to be rescued from the cold by my girl VeraWang. The place looked amazing and it was super busy, great mood, full of laughter. Dinner was great, Terroni is famous for their pizza so that’s what I ordered the peppino pizza and split it with my bestie Aaliyah; it was nice because the dough was really thin, but not nearly enough toppings, it was almost naked!
After dinner we went back to the hotel, we stayed at the Marriot which was also great and played drunken card games before getting ready to go to Faces night club on Richmond street. The club was nice, but we got there late so missed guest list but I wasn’t going to let it ruin my night. Girlicious member Christina was there as well, so that and the almost naked girls swinging from the ceiling was an interesting part of the night.

Gold Braided Leather Silver Lotus Charm $35.00
Red Leather Buddha Charm Bracelet $32.00
Hey loves,
I’ve been itching to pump out some new sketches, maybe even create an interior sample board. Unfortunately for me this week is crazy busy, I’ll be studying and writing my midterm papers, so I’ll have to hold till after the weekend. What I did have time to do however was check out some cute shops on Etsy, and see what the other creative entrepreneurs have cooked up; let me introduce you to Lucky Horn.
Lucky Horn creates a variety of “sexy modern jewelry” for men and women mostly bracelets and necklaces made of leather or stainless steel, adorned with charms from cute little Buddha’s to skulls and wishbones. Lucky Horn ships internationally, (although waiting times are a touch long, so order well in advanced of any special occasions) pricing is more that reasonable ranging from $25-45 on average. The creator behind the label is Tara, based out of New York I think it’s amazing that for every purchase that is made she contributes 5% of the proceeds to a different foundation or charity every month!
Inspired by luck and charity to the wearer I’ve got to say my favorite piece has to be the little Buddha charm bracelet above and the wing necklace below. I’d wear them layered just as she has them shown above. Their just too cute!
Which is your fav?
Seeing Stripes
Hey ladies!
I’ve been cutting back on the spending, but a few weeks ago I hooked up with my girl Jandry (amazing photographer, love her to death check her out here) to go catch up since I hadn’t seen her in forever. I couldn’t help picking up a few things including these two really cute tops from Forever 21. I was suppose to be looking for one thick sweater ended up with two of the lighter variety but hey I’m a master at layers so I’ll find a way to work it out in the cold. I haven’t worn the yellow one yet I’m considering wearing it for my b-day Saturday night…I’m just so in love with the marigold color and zebra print!
I’ve already worn the one on the right with the brown stripes and love how it hangs and think I’m going to wear it again to school tomorrow so look out for an outfit post on that!
Don’t forget if you haven’t already to enter the shopbop.com giveaway here. Contest runs until February 27th, don’t miss out!

NYFW Runway Round Up
Another NYFW has come to a close, the bloggers and press can now rest; the week of non-stop fashion marathons has finally come to a close. I in Canada have sadly missed another glamorous year in NY but I did find delight in swooning over the multitude of photos circulating over Twitter and all my favourite blogs. I absolutely fell in love with Marchesa not once, or twice but three times; I seriously cannot pick a favourite from the ones I have posted. LOVE ‘em all. Other noted designers were of course Michael Kors, L.A.M.B., Vivienne Tam and Ports 1961, check them out after you hit it.
Which collections were your favourites?
