I was dreaming about waffles all week, finally I decide to make some for BF yesterday. But the thought of drowning them in refined sugar makes me ill. I’d like to think I’m pretty health conscious, I mean don’t get me wrong I love my sweets, who doesn’t, but for the post part I’m selective, know when to say when, and make substitutions where ever necessary. An excess of sugar, fat or calories to me, is a high price to pay for a moment of satisfaction, so I’m always on the hunt for tasty alternatives. I love eating pancakes and waffles – watching my portions of course – but I haven’t consumed maple syrup in…lets just say ages. It’s been terribly long, so I’ve no idea when I had it last, until now! I stopped by the grocery store, browsed the aisles, determined to find something new to top my waffles and pancakes with, since I was getting a little tired of the 60 calorie snack pudding packs I usually used (they’re delicious but change was definitely overdue) I found this, Walden Farms pancake syrup with…ZERO calories…can we say jackpot! Walden Farms is a Canadian company that specializes in a whole line of calorie free products, including an amazing array of salad dressings, dips, jams dressings and more.
Did you ever realize that the skin on your face and body literally gets thirsty, tired or better yet hungry for the nourishment and vitamins that healthy glowing skin requires?
I think this is something a lot of women including myself sometimes forget. We all try and watch our figures by being selective with what we eat, but what about what our skin needs to survive?

I happen to have very sensitive skin, and there’s a product in the Super line that contains Quercetin benefits which is a fortifying flavonoid that helps calm sensitive skin, which helps me feel comfortable in taking a chance on this line of products.

Exfoliating is super important and often over looking in many women’s beauty routine. Especially moving from winter into the warmer months there’s probably a lo of rough dry skin your dieing to remove. If your skins anything like mine; oily and super dry after washing, Clinique’s Exfoliating Facial Scrub may remedy your problems right off your face.
I started using mine about 2 weeks ago and have noticed my skin take back on that healthy glow I was so use to seeing back in high school. Not recommended for every day use, 2-3 times per week is plenty.
I pass by The Body Shop every single day on my way to work; stopping by for a pump of lotion daily when my hands are dry after a trip to the ladies room.. Hey they put it out there for us to sample that’s what I’m doing!
Any ways this week I went in and spoke to someone new; my regular lady was busy assisting another customer. So I decided to mingle.
That’s when she introduced me to this; Satsuma Body Polish. Now I know anything Satsuma in The Body Shop smells orgasmic, so I agreed to be a guinea pig and sample this bad boy out.
OMG it smells good and does exactly what it’s supposed to; polished me right up.
**Congrats to Celeste P. of Toronto for entering and winning! Thank you to all who participated! Keep an ear out for the next contest its going to be a good one!**
Okay so I have been itching to hold a giveaway for quite some time now, and the perfect opportunity presented itself when Lashem contacted me about their product. I was introduced to Lashem last summer by my sister in law whose randomly friends with one of the master minds behind this brand.
Lashem produces an all natural paraben free eyelash growth serum, which garners results within the first 6 weeks, this is what they say. My lashes are very short and sparse, so I was really hoping against all hopes that this stuff would work, since it’s being celebrated by the likes of numerous celebrities including Miss J of America’s next top model and featured in countless magazines including Parenting, Ebony and Lucky.
I’ve started to use their product and have noticed growth in as little as 2 weeks! I highly recommend giving it a try, and by entering this contest you can do so for free!

Matthew Williamson’s Fall 2011 collection was inspired by a Russian painter by the name of Francisco Infante-Arana. Composed of materials which include ostrich feathers, wools, Mongolian furs, fringe and bohemian prints, the collection carried a complicated yet easy Russian sophistication. He combines neutral colors with bold pops for looks that can be worn together for fall or taken apart for spring.
