Trend Watch: Can Sweat Pants Be Sexy?
Everyone seems to be busy with something these days, and outfits that do double duty are essential, but never before would I have thought that a pair of sweats could be considered couture. Sweat pants have transcended the gym and mysteriously found their way on to the run ways of Isabel Marant, Rag and Bone, Bottega Veneta and Alexander Wang.
The key here of course is major tailoring, don’t think you can grab your ugly sweat pants and create the same illusion, not even close. This snug but relaxed fit must be worn with a fierce pair of heels or a snazzy pair of flats; gladiator sandals perhaps. Throw this causal luxe look together with a blazer and a cute tank and your ready to hit up the hottest events, dinners or even parties with your girls in classic comfort.
I’ve found a few budget and budget less sweats to get you started if you’re considering trying this look out. I think I’ll give it a try, with the flats though at first I’m a sucker for comfortable shoes.
Think you’ll give this look a try?
Polyvore Set: Abbey Lee Kershaw
I have a huge girl crush on Abbey Lee Kershaw, she has such an interesting look, and the split in her teeth only intensifies that. She works amazingly well with a number of different looks. For this set I decided to go the rocker route because of the leather taxi cap she had going on in this shoot. Leather studds, acid wash jeans and Alexander McQueen peep toe booties have the grunge required to pull a look like this together. I topped it off with a leather messenger bag and Burberry spiked cuff, that say watch out, I’m not one to F**** with.
Items in this set:
Juicy Couture T-Shirt Don’t Talk, $110
Harris Leather Biker Jacket, $690
Pyramid Stud Skinny Jean – Teen Clothing by Wet Seal, $9.13
Get The Look: Zoe Saldana & Cameron Diaz At The 2010 Oscars
All the jewelery is from ICE.com so you can get the look without breaking the bank!
Polyvore Contest: Postcards from the Beach
Polyvore Contest: Destination Anywhere…Brazil!
If I could go anywhere, I would go to Brazil, the water, the people and the music are amazing! It has always been a dream of mine to go scuba diving and take pictures of beautiful coral. Bright colors, and flowers are the fashion direction I would take. Why waste the perfect setting to wear your brightest brights, in one of the most beautiful places in the world?
