Royal or Spoil: Are Clogs Back In Style?

 

So lately I’ve been reading all bout the new trends and what not, and one I was surprised to see were clogs.  Now I’m not sure if there was ever a time when clogs actually looked good…so I don’t know how, but they have managed to sneak their way on the the runway of Chanel’s spring/summer 2010 collection in Paris. 

For the sake of the show it was tolerable; the models wore mini skirts and sheer patterned tights.  The clogs themselves were very high, and went well with the theme of the show. 

Other designers like Louis Vuitton, and Marc Jacobs have also created their own unique take on the modern clog.  high or low wooden heels, studded details, and tassels for embellishments make the selection of clogs quite broad. 

Top designers might be pushing this look, but are we buying into it? Has the clock been pushed too far back? What do you think?

Chanel Iman, Arlenis Sosa, Coco Rocha and Sesslie Lopez In The DVF Spring 2010 RTW Show

 

The Diane Von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2010 runway show was stacked with top models, Chanel Iman, Coco Rocha, Sesslie Lopez and Arlenis Sosa.  Diane known for her bright colors rich textures does not disappoint, vivid orange and yellows and every color in between.  No area was spared a drop of color, following all the way through to the handbags and multicolored bangles.
