Chic Shopping at Boutique1
For me hopping is more than just a grab and go type of deal. Not for any fashion enthusiast I know. The mood, the decor and lighting in a store set the tone for someone who has come not only on a mission, but to enjoy their favourite past time; shopping can be considered a hobby, sport or even full time job!
I was recently introduced to Boutique1; a terribly chic line of stores located across the middle east in Dubai and United Emirates to name a few. Going through the photos of the different locations I was completely enamored by the decor. This particulat location in the Jumeirah Beach Residence is 3 floors of heaven and over 300,000 sq of paradise. I would simply be in heaven at any one of their gorgeous locations!
You can find all your favourites from Missoni, Erdem, Victoria Beckham to Proenza Schouler. Obviously on the higher end of fashion in both price and quality, a girl can’t help but dream about being lucky enough to step foot into anyone of these fab pieces!
Even if you like myself can’t drop everything and jet set across the planet to enjoy this amazing shopping feast, gaining access to the goods online is as easy as turning on your TV. Shipping to just about everywhere in the world including my hometown in Canada.
I fell in love with so many of the pieces that I came up with an outfit that I could actually see myself wearing; this is a great weekend look stepped up to a designer level. High on my wish list right now are Cardigans for fall, so I centered my look around this gorgeous motor cycle inspired cardi and PS1 bag. Absolutely LOVE the heels, so elegant!

Amusement Park Survival Guide
A day at the amusement park is a time to revert back to childhood in some small manner and enjoy all the thrills, great food and of course the company of friends and family for what should be a fun filled free-for-all.
But being a girl I already see the bumps in the road that we can face if we don’t come prepared for just about anything. The weather, accidents, and protecting our skin should be at the forefront of our minds; that’s why I’ve created this survival guide for the budding fashionista who wants to let her hair down for the weekend cause “Girls just want to have fun!” I had to say it y’all! Check out what you’ll need here:
1. Sunscreen! This should be at the top of your list, before looking or smelling good you need to make sure your skin is protected with sun block that has an SPF of 30 or higher. Philosophy has an amazing line up of products, which also includes their “Shelter” sun block you can pick up for $25. Wrinkles aren’t cute!
2. Appropriate clothes. The weather in the summer especially in Toronto is always changing throughout the day; hot one minute, cold the next and raining before the day is through. This tank from H&M is cute, but make sure to pack a sweater to throw over cold shoulders stowed away somewhere as well as an umbrella if it starts raining on you while you’re waiting in line for your favourite ride! Get these Jbrand shorts here and belt here!
3. Lip Balm. We got our bodies covered but the lips are just as important Burts Bee’s is a great choice you can pick it up at any drugstore, its soothing and with an SPF of 8 your lips should make it through any hot sweltering day!
4. Comfortable shoes. Flip flops might seem easy or convenient but the truth is the most practical solution for feet which will probably be walking for hours, be dropped from insane heights, tossed, rolled, and turned every which way is a pair of great flats that buckle up. These Steve Madden sandals, which buckle, will ensure you won’t have to worry about losing your shoes 50ft in the air!
5. Sunnies + Hat! A hot pair of sunnies is a necessary item not only for turning up that swag but for protection from the sun’s rays; a pair of Ray-Ban’s always hits the mark! Don’t forget a hat, anything you can add to combat the sun is a step in the right direction. The straw hat is very popular right now so I suggest something like this straw fedora
6. Cross body bag. Now I say a cross body bag because you want to be able to be mobile and still have your stuff (stuff you’ve carried and any prizes or souvenirs you’ve collected) at arm’s reach without being in the way. A cross body bag in my mind like this one by Kate Spade delivers this best while still being fashionable and unobtrusive.
7. Other little extras I would include are lotion to reapply after the water park, or a visit to the girl’s room, hair pins, hair ties, stud earrings, a towel or small rag, tissue, gum or mints and water! Lots of water!
Karen Millen Colour Blocked Knitted Dress
Getting ready for a day at the beach? This Karen Millen color block dress combines both a nautical style and color blocking into one neat little package. At $230 it’s a definite splurge and I do love the nautical look, but if your not feeling like popeye the sailor man, send the same message in a more subtle way with this cute mini.
Meant for everyday wear try this look with white slip on sandals and a light weight cross body bag in a contrasting color like red or yellow for a lazy day at the beach!

Because I work in the mall, every time I go in to work I’m surrounded by all the latest sales and promotions. I always stop and take a look at Zara’s window display because the visual merchandisers do such an amazing job coordinating outfits.
I swear this one orange blazer in their display just keeps calling my name! Orange is the color of a playful spirit and I’ve been feeling different lately; maybe a little orange is what I need right now. Color blocking is huge right now so I paired this gingham print red and black jacket, a little more versatile than straight orange with purple and pink for cool was of berry hued itens,
Add a pink clutch and some orange pumps and vola!
Rihanna’s Prada Leopard Print Flap Handbag
Prada is a girls best friend, and it suits Rihanna’s ensemble very well adding that much needed pop to an otherwise neutral outfit. Every cent into this purse should be considered an investment at $3,415, which sounds like a couple of months of rent, you can stunt like a queen.
Still wearing the and what seems to be every celebs favourite pair of Christian Louboutin platform pumps.
What She Wore: Monica in Burberry Prorsum Twill Moto Jacket
I love moto jackets and when I say Monica in leather sleeved twill version at the Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards held at The Barker Hanger in Santa Monica California earlier this week I had to know where she got it.
Burberry Prorsum was behind the styling of this jacket with a number of eye catching features including zippered cuffs, a leather trimmed belt and side button fastenings, one could vary the look of this jacket everyday!
