HEY!!!

I feel like it’s been forever since I actually had a minute to pump out something worth blogging about with the mayhem of all my final exams .  By Friday semester 1 will be behind me, and a well needed escape to Niagara will take it’s place, we go there every year this time of the season, so I really can’t wait! My blogging may have stopped but my mind is in Christmas overdrive, so I thought I’d share my christmas list.

Obviously I’m obsessed with everything Michael Kors…

 

 

Rock-a-Fella’s rap label front man Damon Dash wouldn’t strike me as a man who would be into vintage; but despite his hard outer rap shell, he does have soft spot for vintage duds.   He teamed up with David Chang, a long time employee of his to create Local 172 Trading Post; a showroom dedicated to old threads, including vintage Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.

Located in Tribeca NYC they opened to the public just this week and carry pieces for the finest of both sexes.  If your wondering if you can even afford anything there, you could easily walk out with a pair of jean shorts for as little as $40.  It’s definitely work a weekend wonder.

 

I’ve been shopping like mad in preparation for the coming spring season, and just about the first item on my mind are dresses.  Day dresses; cocktail, evening and formal gowns are what I live for with the warm weather just over the horizon.  I picked up a dress similar to the first one, which happens to be an Emilio Pucci.

From abstract to prints, to florals, to stripes there seems to be an endless supply of designer dresses on Farfetch.com.  For more spring inspiration flip the top!

I first wrote to you all about United Nude and their signature architectural flare back in April 2010, since then the talented shoe house has collaborated with designer Iris Van Herpen to bring to you an installation of work with will be posted in Selfridges in London.  For Canadians and any other International readers, they unfortunately do not ship online orders to international addresses, but you can call and make a phone order to the store and have them ship your item to you provided they have it in store.

Chains….now all we need are whips….how exciting….more when you hit it.

Just watched this extremely hypnotizing film put together by designer Rachel Roy to present the looks from her spring 2011 collection.  She melds fashion, art and dance together into one, and I love it.  A must see, each dancer is wearing her designs, and the dancing which is amazing by the way…just bring each piece to life.

The Blonds presented a collection inspired by the sparkle and glitz of Chinese New Year in New York for fashion week.  Most of these pieces are completely over the top and need to be modified for personal wear, but I have a few A Lister’s in mind, a lot of D Lister’s…that might try and make this work right off the runway….scary thought…

As a costume…I really enjoyed the collection.  It’s fun but very flashy.
