This weekend I reconnected with my best friend for an evening of oh’s and ah’s at the Canada’s Bridal Show held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center in downtown.  I’ve been wanting to see this show for a while, I mean I am engaged, have been for a while now..Knuge Knudge

The show was great, I had a really good time, signed up for a ton of stuff which are probably raiding my inbox as we speak.  A lot of the prizes seemed worth it at the time, sue me; free wedding planner, photographers and venues.  These are all necessary things! The best thing I walked away with was definitely my new Bodum mug, already mixed a smoothie in it ready for tomorrow morning!

There were tons of gorgeous gowns, and beautiful head table arrangements on display.  They even had one of those monstrous limo buses. It was anything but cheesy, the decor was on point, had a wet bar and washroom. I’d live there if I could, even had a wide screen TV!

Highlight for me was taking those snap shots with my BFF Aaliyah and finally getting to taste one of those French Macaroons, I had the Chi green tea,  OMG… it was heaven!

Since attending the show my mind is buzzing with ideas; the free issue of Today’s Bride has me giddy over my future wedding, my TV is stuck on TLC, watching Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings like it’s nobody’s business!  Overall the show was great, I didn’t attend the fashion show and we weren’t allowed to take pictures which really surprised me but I’m still looking forward to next years show.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the store opening of  Toronto’s very own UGG Australia store opening in Yorkville Thurday night.  Elated because despite that insane critisim and controversy that these fluffy boots caused I’m a huge fan and got my own pair last winter.  I was converted instantly and it’s been bliss ever since!

The swanky party was great; guests were served hors d’oeuvres, while the DJ played music in the background.  My best friend and I were quick to accept bottles of vitamin water and champagne as we drooled over just about every item we came across; most which would require I jump up a couple pay grades!

Held for 2 hours I think the party was a smashing success, a few ladies and gents turned out styled to the nines, including Canadian celebs Danny Fernandez and Entertainment tonight host Rick Campanelli.   I had the opportunity to quickly chat and get photos with two ladies after my camera died I had to resort to my BB cam, sorry for the bad quality!  You can check out my outfit at the bottom, I wanted to be warm so layered up a bunch it always seems to be colder downtown, so I think I threw on a good 5 layers.

The night was amazing reconnected with my BFF and had a great time, chatting over Starbucks and Vegan wraps from Freshii on Bloor street — highly recommend by the way!

Beyonce is preggers!  FINALLY Beyonce has made the leap into motherhood!  I couldn’t be happier for her she looks amazing in her bright orange Lanvin gown.  Classy and Chic can’t get any batter than that.  With her hair worn in a neat pony tail she takes the cake for best dressed for the night.  And not just because she’s pregnant either!

Selena Gomez in Julien MacDonald, Kim Kardashian, Kelly Rowland in Falguni & Shane and Jojo all opted for lots of black and metallic accents in their dresses.

The usual suspects showed up in more wild and animated attire, number one on the list Nicki Minaj, singer Kreayshawn, Snooki and Katy aren’t afraid to push the envelope…all the way over the cliff in some cases.

What a beautiful avant garde installation set up at the Alice and Olivia shoe launch party in West Hollywood this week.  I feel sort of like these shoes right now.  Suspended in mid air waiting for the wind to catch me as I fall ever so slowly downward.

There’s so much up in the air for me right now,  everything is moving so fast; it seems as though September and I are in a foot race and September so far has me beat.  Time stops for no one, except maybe these stunning shoes.

Finding the right place is up in the air, we’ve actually decided to stay put for the next month and put a 30 day time delay on our move so we can settle into all the changes at work and on the home front.

Finding childcare for my son is another topic on its own, it’s not easy finding a place that your peace of mind can settle into as quickly as your child can.  Until I have to part ways with my love, I’ll keep looking to the sky, maybe a pair of these shoes will fall into my lap (in size 12 of course) that would most definitely make my day!

Kim took her look way too far, she’s overloaded her body in way too many accessories; several thick bangles, long hanging earrings, an oversized ring.  OVERDONE.I mean I understand that it’s a set but one at a time would have a better alternative. Alexandra Burke absolutely glows in her D&G, don’t know how I feel about her dress though…

Jameela Jamil is who I really gravitated towards going through the pictures.  She has a quirky sort of style and always represents that with accessories like the heart bag she so elegantly clutching.  Her patterned dress with her bold pink lip are perfect honestly wouldn’t change a thing.  Shoes check.  Hair check.  Thumbs up!
