Sorry We Don’t Have Your Size: Diary Of A Girl Left Behind
Ever since I was younger I always had an intense interest in all things fashion; dresses, purses, accessories, but especially shoes. Selecting the right shoe can take an outfit from here to Mars in a flash; the wrong one will have you tumbling back down to earth faster than you can scream for help.
I try to stay up to speed in the world of fashionable footwear, and collect images of what I envision will complete the many outfits I’ve created for myself in my head. I get dressed up, call up a girl friend and head off to the mall. Its shoe shopping time! My favourite but most hated task. Shopping for shoes becomes a time consuming ordeal when retailers just don’t carry your size. But I don’t get it, there are plus size clothes, why not shoes? If you wear size 11 or bigger, you can understand my distress.
Super models that have walked runways in Paris trot down catwalks in shoes the average person can only dream of touching. Many of them are tall and have big feet, so where do they get their shoes? High end designers easily accommodate these women and put the big feet so many average people make fun of into works of art. Works of art that have people travelling all over the world to see.
But what if you’re not a super model? What if money doesn’t grow on a tree in your backyard? Are Women with big feet forced to wear the ugly excuses for footwear that we find in specialty stores, with minimal selection? Do mainstream retailers not want our money? We should not be forced to squeeze our feet into shoes that create blisters and cause an amazing amount of discomfort and stress. Retailers need to expand their horizons with regard to size, because after my 23 years of life, still nothing has changed.
I’ve scoured the net and found a few retailers that have considered the woman with big feet and the comfort of her toes. Big toes need love too, and I’m tired of wearing runners all day! My search will continue beyond this article because I feel this is a pressing matter. If you’re a retailer who wants to make a change or caters to women with big feet email me at truequeeninc@gmail.com, and share your thoughts.
If your a woman who is facing this same issue, please email me and tell me your story! BIG FEET UNITE!

BarefootTess.com – A retailer who understands that style doesn’t stop at size 10, BarefootTess has a modern selection of shoes for a lovely lady who knows she has the right to show off her style.

Kendra Platform Cross Band Dress Sandal $26.99
Payles Shoe Source- I don’t know what I would do if Payless didn’t exists. I frequently stop in to see what they have, and the quality of their shoes continues to get better and better with the introduction of lines like Alice + Olivia, which I actually own a pair of myself.

Hi, I am not that a big a shoe size a UK 7/8 which I think is an American 9/10, but even I have trouble getting shoes sometimes. Quite often stores over here only stock a very limited number of shoes in a size 7-8 so they will sell out very quickly, which is very annoying. This is most obvious during sales. There will be rows and rows of 4, 5 and 6 then just a few 7 and 8, I’ve very rarely get a shoe bargain from a high street store. So I would love for stores to start stocking more larger sized shoes!!
Thanks so much guys for your feedback and voicing your own personal issues. I will continue the search for retailers that cater to our needs and post them accordingly so check back for more updates!

I feel for you. I don’t have bigger feet but a friend of mine has really wide feet with fallen arches. It’s almost impossible for her to find anything.
Thank goodness for those willing to be who they are at a personal cost to their comfort levels so the rest of us can do it more easily.

The Christian Louboutin Miss Fortune Replica Pumps are a delight to watch. This design is chic and upmarket. This is best to be worn with some short dress giving it complete access to flaunt around. It is made of soft napa leather and being a peep toe it also keeps the present season’s trend in place.
They can go with anything you wear and come in suede, with bows, ruffles, velvet lace up, cage booties and even with glitters and feathers and range from under $100 to over $1,000, depending on the designer.
