Creating a wardrobe that is not just stylish, but practical is important.  I know I’m not rich and when I buy something it’s really important that I feel this purchase is worth while, especially if it’s something that coast more than a couple hundred bucks.

Picking up pieces that can go from day to night can justify spending more than you usually would on an item, if you really stop and think about how much wear you can really get from it.  To give you an example of something that you would think you could only wear once, otherwise you’d look like you don’t have anything else in your closet at home I created 3 looks for 1 printed dress for your viewing pleasure

You don’t need to look like you just rolled out of bed, just because your going to the grocery store or to run errands.   Don’t you hate when you when you go out and think, ahh I’ll just be out for an hour I’ll wear my sweats.  Then you see the guy you’ve been exchanging flirtatious glares with for the past week and you look like crap.  That doesn’t need to happen.  A dress like this can totally be day time by pairing it with casual and fun accessorise; flat chocolate brown boots, that are comfortable enough to walk a 1,000 miles if need be. Add a cute little shrug in a pop of color like cobalt blue, which is ever so popular these days so you’re trendy but not over the top.

Bring interest into the outfit with a red textured belt, which I honestly think is very important and can make or break the way a dress is presented, especially if you want to wear it multiple times.  Accessorize with a cute floral bangle and sheer lip gloss; remember its day time, so you don’t want to be over the top.

Take the same dress into a hectic day in the office.  A lot of ladies need to look professional in the office and depending on how strict your work place is on attire; you can definitely take existing pieces from your closet and make them appropriate for work with a few minor changes.

So here we have the same dress, but instead of a bright shrug we’ve opted to go for a navy blue blazer.  Black can be redundant, and Navy is a great alternative to that.  Tip: Try rolling up the sleeves to revel yet another color if your blazer is lined, to tie into the dress and any other accessories you may be wearing.

Since the dress is already patterned keep everything else simple and structured; a black plat formed pump, and a color blocked quilted chain purse.  Don’t be afraid to accessories with a bangle and a French tip nail, some pearls, or even a textured belt in a neutral color, to really pull the whole look together.
