The McSweeny Sisters Are Married To The Mob
Beauty is in their blood, modelling sister duo Sarah and Leah McSweeny rocked it out for Married To The Mob’s latest Spring 2010 ad campaign. MTTM is an urban line that’s known for their outrageous style, in your face graphic t-shirts and sexy street wear.
A few of the t-shirts would have my mother wagging her finger in the air in disappointment, but hey can’t please everyone! I love the blue and black graphic print tights, and the whole outfit Leah’s wearing as she climbs the couch like a furry feline.
*Grrrr fierce!

Paris Fashion Week Style: Louis Vuitton
As Paris Fashion week rages on the fashions never seem to stop when the show is over. Not only do we want to see whats on the runway, we want to know what people wore to the show. At the Louis Vuitton show Alexa Chung, Bianca Brandolini, Leigh Lezark were some of the noted celebs that showed off their style.
TV personality/model Alexa Chung in a tweed coat with oversized khaki pockets and a deep red satchel. Nice combination of color and texture here. She finishes off her looks with a pair of black open toe shoe booties, with a wooden heel.
Model Leigh Lezark gives us a pop of color in a pink mini dress and a black ruffle collared jacket. She goes for a sheer pair of tights, which keeps this outfit from becoming boring and matching black peep toes.

Alexander McQueen Fall 2010
Alexander McQueen left us all too early, but didn’t fail to stun and amaze with his last collection. Presented yesterday in Paris the collection looks like a mixture of different styles; I detect a little asian in the red kimono styled jacket, that I absolutely love. The embroidery here looks amazingly entracate, and the overall presentation reads as couture.
WWD reports:
McQueen continued to experiment with ideas from his last collections, this time engineering prints by digitally capturing entire works of art and weaving them into fabrics. His inspirations ranged from Byzantine art and Old Master paintings to the carvings of Grinling Gibbons, and each look was worn with a bronzed cap, some spiked with a Mohawk of gilded leaves like a Roman war helmet. In a quest for new shapes, he folded sturdy fabrics into jutting and swooping lines that were both organic and otherworldly. Here was a windblown swirl of gilded brocade transformed into a mini dress with a pouf skirt; there, a monastic gown depicting statuary, folds of fabric gathered at the back into regal panels. Such an intimate setting allowed for up-close appreciation of the details, the digital patterns painstakingly plotted so that angel wings aligned with the shoulder blades; the grand but graceful line of a dress’s sculpted neckline that arched above the collarbones.
It’s almost impossible for me to choose a favourite, each piece is as incredible as the last. Alexander McQueen you will be greatly missed.

Is Lady Gaga A Kelis Copy Cat?
I was over at Necolebitchie and I cam across this time sheet of Kelis and Lady Gaga wearing many 3 of the same outfits, (For the sensitive babies). Apparently everything that Lady Gaga is wearing Kelis rocked several years before her! I was pretty shocked to see this because this is not a trend I noticed off hand. But does this prove anything? Lady Gaga has worn plenty of way more outrageous outfits before and after any of these. But then Kelis has always had an outside the box approach to style from the time she first stepped onto the scene as an artist, but even now receives no credit.
What yours your take on this, do you think Lady Gaga has deliberately stolen Kelis’ looks or does she just know how to rock them better?

French Revue de Modes Spring/Summer 2010 Covers
French Revue de Modes released their new spring/summer 2010 magazine covers, that’s right 8 different covers of 8 amazing models. Chanel Iman, Canadian Coco Rocha, Emily DiDonato, Hannah Holman, Lindsey Scott, and Tao Okamoto all look amazing as they pose against a soft multicoloured background in bold look at me make up. The covers are clearly a celebration of color; from make up to skin, to hair to eyes. It highlights and showcases beauty of all kinds; this is the kind of stuff that inspires me.
I especially love Emily’s cover, she looks like a Roman Queen, with her chain neck piece and large egg shaped earrings.

Celebrities Spotted At Paris Fashion Week: Gary Dourdan & Lindsey Lohan
Celebrities Gary Dourdan and Lindsey Lohan were spotted at the Viktor and Rolf collection viewing this week. Both are channeling the style of other famous fashion icons; Gary is giving us a Lenny Kravitz feel, I think it’s safe to say he’s found his sexy back. Doesn’t he look great?? And Lindsey is channeling Kate Moss with her vintage inspired look; the headband and glasses really pull this look together.
